New Water Heating Technology

A revolutionary new water heating technology is being introduced by Blodgett Supply.  The Air Tap extracts heat from the air in your utility room, and transfers it to your hot water tank, at a fraction of the cost of heating that water through traditional methods.

The Air Tap attaches to a conventional hot water tank, and uses a low wattage heat pump to efficiently extract heat from the area around the tank.  “It’s a remarkably simple technology”, according to Blodgett Vice President Scott Ehlert, “but one which has been very well executed.  This product has drawn rave reviews all over the country, and we’re proud to introduce it to Vermont, New Hampshire and New York”.

A free by product of the heat extraction process is that cooler and dryer air is vented back out. Since many hot water tanks are installed in basements with humidity problems, “it’s like killing two birds with one stone”, according to Ehlert.

The Air Tap is available and installed by qualified plumbing contractors throughout Vermont, New Hampshire, and northeastern New York through Blodgett Supply branches.  It’s estimated that the Air Tap uses the electricity consumed by two coffee makers, and can save up to 70% on hot water heating costs.  The product works on gas or electric water heaters, although a qualified contractor has to assess the site for suitability.  For additional information, or to be connected with a qualified contractor, click “Ask John” or contact any Blodgett branch.
